Vice-President, Invictus International Consulting
As the Vice President of Corporate Strategy for Invictus International Consulting Mr. Andersen oversees the delivery of a full spectrum of Cyber and Information Assurance capabilities from assessments and authorization to daily operations, engineering, policy, governance and management of 120 cyber professionals worldwide for the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), as well as the Agile Cyber Technologies 2 contract for Cyber Research and Development in support of the US Government. He also serves as a Member of the Board of Directors with the Center for International Maritime Security.
He brings a rich expertise in Cyber security policy, development of secure classified systems, and providing secure technology solutions to clients across the globe. Mr. Andersen also has an unwavering commitment to empowering teams to achieve unprecedented success for their clients and bridges the gap between technical professionals and management.
Prior to joining Invictus, Mr. Andersen was the Senior Expert for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Network Consolidation for the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations (DCNO) for Information Warfare (N2/N6). He also served as the Navy’s Intelligence Community Chief Information Officer (CIO) and the Navy’s senior representative to a myriad of Intelligence Community Boards and Councils.
Prior to becoming a Department of the Navy Senior Executive, Mr. Andersen served as the CIO for U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Intelligence and the Chief of the Coast Guard’s Office of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Systems and Technology. In this capacity he was the senior technical authority and cyber security official for all USCG intelligence, information-based screening, classified maritime domain awareness and information sharing technology.
Mr. Andersen started his career of government service in the U.S. Marine Corps serving on Active Duty in various capacities throughout the Marine Corps Intelligence Enterprise. His assignments included managing systems and assets for intelligence missions in Iraq, Europe and Africa and supporting enterprise developments as a Systems Engineer.
In the private and non-profit sectors, Mr. Andersen served in various planning and engineering roles, and as the Chief Security Officer for the Cyber Security Forum Initiative, an international non-profit focused on cyber security research, collaboration and knowledge sharing.
In his prior government service roles, Mr. Andersen served as Service Level Manager for the Marine Corps Enterprise IT Services program, leading Federal Data Center Consolidation Initiative efforts. Subsequently, he served as Asset Engineering Chief for the USCG Telecommunications and Information Systems Command, where he led enterprise architecture management, enterprise infrastructure deployment and operations, and enterprise security/vulnerability management services for a diverse worldwide user base. In this capacity he was responsible for serving as the IT design and development expert and senior technical project manager for agency management and other government agencies.
His education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in IT Management and a Master of Science degree in Information Security and Assurance, as well as number IT and cyber security professional certifications. He has received awards from the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Coast Guard and the Intelligence Community.
